How to Join the AMA
What is the AMA? AMA stands for "Academy of Model Aeronautics". It is a self-supporting, non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote development of model aviation as a recognized sport and worthwhile recreation activity.
The AMA is the chartering organization for more than 2,500 model airplane clubs across the country. But probably the most important feature of the AMA is it offers its chartered clubs official contest sanction, INSURANCE, and assistance in getting and keeping flying sites.
Besides the fact that it is a great orginization, the AMA offers the Coal Dusters a level of insurance that allows us to lease our field from the township.
ALL members must belong to the AMA before they can fly at the field.

How much are Membership Dues?
Dues for new members are $35
Dues for returning members are $25
How much is it to join the AMA?
Membership to the AMA varies. The standard dues are $58 which includes a 1 year subscription to "Model Aviation".
If you are the age of 65 or over by July 1st it is $48.
